Junzhi Wang, M.D., Ph.D., Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering. He is the Chief Expert of Biological Products Quality Control of National Institutes for Food and Drug Control, Director of WHO Collaborating Center for Standardization and Evaluation of Biologicals, Chairman of Biotechnology Committee of Chinese Pharmacopoeia, Chairman of Biopharmaceuticals and Quality Study Committee of Chinese Pharmaceutical Association. Wang got his Ph.D. from Mie University in Japan. After returning to China in 1995, he presided over the establishment of the key technology system of biological drug quality control and safety evaluation in accordance with international standards, which have ensured the safety and effectiveness of domestic innovative biological drugs and accelerated their R&D processes, also facilitated the settlement in China of the WHO Collaborating Center for standardization and evaluation of biologicals. He received the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award three times, the second prize of National Technology Invention Award for one time. He published more than 200 papers as the first or corresponding author. Wang is a recipient of several awards, including Bethune Medal, National Outstanding Scientific and Technological Workers and National Innovation Award.

Youchun Wang, M.D., Ph.D.. He is the Chief Expert of Quality Control of Vaccines in National Institutes for Food and Drug Controls (NIFDC), Co-director of WHO Collaborating Center for Standardization and Evaluation of Biologicals, and Director of National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) Key Laboratory for Quality Research and Evaluation of Biological Products. He got Medical Degree (MD) on Epidemiology from Peking Medical University and PhD on Virology from University College London (UCL). He has mainly done research works on hepatitis virus, HIV, HPV and emerging viruses such as Ebola virus, SARS-CoV-2 and others, and has also developed new methods for quality control of viral vaccines and diagnostics. He obtained several grants from Wellcome Trust in UK, and Ministry of Science and Technology, National Foundation of Natural Science, and others in China. He has published more than 275 academic papers, which 110 of them was published in Cell, Science, Cell Host & Microbes and other SCI journals as the first or corresponding author. He also has several positions in academic associations, such as former Chairman of Medical Virology and Vice Chairman of Medical Microbiology and Immunology of Chinese Medical Association, former Vice Chairman of Chinese Laboratory Animal Association, former Chairman of Beijing Medical Virology, and Chairman of vaccine committee of Chinese Pharmacopoeia.
