
In January 2013, the Institute for Biological Products Control (IBPC) of National Institutes for Food and Drug Control (NIFDC) has been designated as the WHO Collaborating Center on the standardization and evaluation of biologicals (WHO CC). During the designation period, IBPC/NIFDC collaborated with WHO in regard to the activities of the WHO CC. Meanwhile, IBPC/NIFDC has collaborated with other WHO CCs and institutes on standardization and evaluation of biologicals.
• At WHO's request and under it' s leadership, support WHO in developing international written standards for production and quality control of vaccines and biologicals.
• At WHO's request, contribute to the development of international measurement standards & reference materials for vaccines and biologicals.
• Under WHO's leadership, strengthen quality control assays for vaccines and biologicals, particularly by supporting the development of new and improved test methods following WHO priorities.
• At WHO's request and under it' s guidance, contribute to building capacity in assuring the quality and safety of vaccines and biologicals.
• At WHO's request and under it's guidance, provide technical assistance in assuring the quality of vaccines and biologicals.
