The symposium was jointly organized by National Institute for Food and Drug Control (NIFDC) of China, National Institute of infectious diseases (NIID) of Japan and the National Institute for food and drug safety evaluation (NIFDC) of Korea. It aims to promote and strengthen regional exchanges and cooperation among China, Japan and South Korea in vaccine research and quality control. In addition to vaccine experts from regulatory agencies of China, Japan and South Korea, WHO experts will also be invited to attend the previous seminars.

The Japan-China (NIFDC) Symposium was proposed in July 2011 by the Director-General, Li Yunlong of the National Institute for Food and Drug Control, China (NIFDC), who was then visiting us.
